About Us
History
Bixby Kids for Christ formed its first club at Bixby North Elementary in March 2005. The next year clubs were started at Bixby Middle School (BMS), Brassfield and Central Elementary. In 2007, we started a club at the new North 5th & 6th Grade Center.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God who loved us so much that he gave His Son for the redemption of our sins and that by accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we can be restored to the fullness of life and eternity that God has planned for us.
Vision Statement
The purpose of Bixby Kids for Christ is to provide a weekly Christian club for the students in our school district, which will focus on the following purposes:
- Introduce students to the Good News of the Gospel
- Encourage them to grow in their personal relationship with Christ
- Provide Christian fellowship with peers, pastor and sponsors
- Present scriptural teaching that is age appropriate
- Provide opportunity to kids who do not know Jesus to know Him and develop a life changing relationship with Him in a non-pressure environment
- Responsibility of follow-up is then passed onto each parent and church
