About me and my family

I grew up in east Tulsa. I graduated from Tulsa East Central High school and Tulsa University. After serving for 11 years as a Student Pastor, at the age of twenty-nine I began to pastor my first church in Edgewater, Colorado. I received a Master’s Degree from Denver Theological Seminary and I am currently pursuing a doctorate in Missions and Evangelism at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have 3 kids in college. One of my daughters, age 23, attends Biola University in LA, California. My other daughter, age 21, and my son, age 19, both attend University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. They are all doing well in school and I am very proud of them. The kids come home for the summer but always leave in the fall. It is sad to see them go, but my wife and I are enjoying "just the two of us."

My wife, Carol, writes for and speaks to women's groups all over the country. When she is at home, she has a part-time job at Tulsa Community College as a student advisor.

My involvement in Bixby Kids for Christ

I see being involved at BKFC as an honor and a privilege. I was embarrassed that the BKFC was finding it difficult to get pastors to commit to leading. I filled in on week and fell in love with the opportunity. I can't think of anything more important than helping kids hear and learn the gospel of Jesus Christ.

About my hobbies

I enjoy watching and playing sports. I also enjoy do-it-yourself projects that I can do around the house. Like many men, I think I can do more that I really can.

About me and my family

I grew up in Wyoming and Colorado. My dad was a church planter. My kids are Kalon (rhymes with gallon), age 6. He goes to Bixby North. My middle daughter is Kassidy, age 5, and is starting kindergarten at Bixby North. Kenna is 4 and she stays with mom. My wife Krista is an awesome wife and mom, but is also a dynamic singer. She has done so since she was a little girl. 

About my ministry

I am the kids pastor at New Beginnings Church in Bixby. I try to teach the kids that they were created with a purpose, and we are here to help them grow in their knowledge of the Word so that they can make good choices and fulfill His purpose in their lives. I also am the Media director.  http://www.newbeginningschurch.info

My involvement in Bixby Kids for Christ

I think kids are awesome. The first years of a persons life are the best years to instill within them a sense of purpose, and a love for God.
